Disco BBQ Cruise

Offering Disco or Traditional Jazz Evening Cruises with our famous barbecue inclusive of salad bar and choice of dessert.

Boarding from 7.30pm sailing at 8pm returning at 11pm from Browns Boathouse, Elvet Bridge, next to the Prince Bishops Shopping Centre with 400 parking spaces and easy coach drop off.

SO WHAT HAPPENS?

Once at our jetty you will be greeted by our Captain, who will welcome you on board and show you to your seats. The bar is always a firm favourite with which to start the evening and at 8pm the cruise begins. A short safety message is given and background music is then played. We gently meander our way first out of the city, then turn round and head down river to the Cathedral. At 9pm whilst under the gaze of the Cathedral we serve the BBQ and background music is played whilst you enjoy your meal. Once the passengers are all served, the entertainment starts and we cruise until 11pm.

Okay we can't cruise for miles because the river wear does not allow us to, but you will see the best views of the Cathedral, 5 bridges (all very different), a castle, a waterfall, various mills & boathouses, the racecourse, bandstand and prison and that's only a selection of what you can see

WHAT ABOUT WHEN IT IS DARK?

Well the cathedral castle and bridges are floodlit so the views are spectacular.

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

We don't overload the Prince Bishop, so if the weather is poor you will be seated under cover. As for the BBQ, we simply park the boat under the bridge to stay dry.

The bar offers everything from tea & coffee to draught lagers, beer wines & spirits. A mobile phone is on board and we comply with all the latest safety standards set out by the Marine Coastguard Agency.

SO WHAT DO WE GET TO EAT?

Well from the BBQ:

Pork Chop  *  Sausage  *  Burger  *  Chicken Drumsticks

then from the Salad Bar:

fresh home made coleslaw  *  tomato  *  cucumber  *  onion

peppers  *  hot baked potatoes  *  grated cheese

bread rolls  *  butter  *  relish & sauces

And then for afters:

Various Gateaux and Cheesecakes

WHAT NIGHTS DO YOU CRUISE?

As often as possible both at weekends and midweek, please Contact us for our cruise schedule. For larger groups we can open a new evening not on our sailing schedule.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

The cost of the cruise is £20.00 per person January till November.
